There were two types of speakers at the time of Apple’s arrival to the home speaker category: the unsmart ones with great sound quality and the smart ones with not such great sound quality. Apple's HomePod combined smarts and sound quality and we wanted to show the emotional value that this combination could unlock. But most importantly, we wanted to earn the respect of those who love, live and speak music.
